Chris Knight, President and CEO

Industry veteran and epicurean Chris Knight is the President and CEO of Gusto Worldwide Media. He’s known worldwide for his innovative and highly stylized culinary and lifestyle content. As head of the former Knight Enterprises, one of Canada’s most successful independent media production companies, Knight has been creating and producing hundreds of hours of original television programming since 1997.

Knight is also an award-winning writer who has authored nine best-selling cookbooks based on his popular television shows. He’s won the International Gourmand World Cookbook Award and International Golden Panda Award, both for One World Kitchen. His documentary series Crate to Plate won Best New Series at the 2017 Taste Awards. Most recently, he won a 2017 James Beard Award, known as the “Oscars of the food world,” for Fish the Dish. Knight’s nominations include seven James Beard Awards; three Geminis; six Taste Awards; two Content Innovation Awards; and one Taste of Canada Award.

A food-lover at heart, Knight was an early advocate of regional cuisine and the slow food movement and is a visiting professor at the University of Gastronomic Sciences in Italy. Knight is highly respected in the Canadian culinary community and is a judge for Canada’s Best 100 Restaurants.
