Television industry veteran and epicurean Chris Knight is the President and CEO of Gusto Worldwide Media.
Known worldwide for his innovative and highly stylized culinary and lifestyle content, Knight has produced over 500 hours of original television programming and continues to create about 100 hours annually. His shows have been seen in more than 170 countries.
In 2013, Knight independently launched food and lifestyle channel Gusto TV in Canada, operating it from Ottawa. After three short years on air, Bell Media licensed the Canadian Gusto TV brand in a ground-breaking partnership. Recently, Knight launched Gusto TV on several international streaming platforms in the US, Singapore, Latin America, and UK.
A food-lover at heart, Knight was an early advocate of regional cuisine and the slow food movement and is a visiting professor at the University of Gastronomic Sciences in Italy. Knight is highly respected in the Canadian culinary community and is a judge for Canada’s Best 100 Restaurants.
Knight is an award-winning writer who has authored nine best-selling cookbooks based on his popular television shows. He’s won the International Gourmand World Cookbook Award and International Golden Panda Award, both for One World Kitchen. Chris has won seven Taste Awards in several categories, including Best New Series (2016 and 2017), Best International Program (2017 and 2018), Best Ethnic Lifestyle (2017), Best Green or Organic Series (2018), and Best Series Pilot (2018). Knight has also won a 2017 James Beard Award for Fish the Dish in the category of Television Program In Studio or Fixed Location.
